Bali & Pupuan

Where the island turns green.

Pupuan, in Tabanan Regency in western Bali, is a landscape of hills, farms and tropical vegetation. It is particularly associated with Robusta coffee and provides the geographic heart of the Moja coffee story.

Different beans, different character

Arabica and Robusta belong in the same conversation.

Moja does not frame Arabica and Robusta as a simple quality hierarchy. Arabica can bring aromatic finesse and softer acidity; Robusta can deliver body, intensity and the powerful cup character for which this part of Bali is known.

Pupuan Robusta
Bold, earthy, full-bodied
Pupuan Arabica
Aromatic, smooth, refined
Whole bean
Both sold roasted, ready to grind

Origin should be specific.

For Moja’s coffee, Pupuan is more than decorative copy: it is the core origin story. As the brand grows, farm, cooperative, harvest, processing and lot information should be added wherever documentation allows. That creates stronger traceability for customers, retailers and AI/search systems alike.

For chocolate and cacao, the website deliberately avoids saying “Pupuan cacao” until those products have a documented source that supports the claim.
